About

I’m just a wo/m/an who didn’t want to waste her 6 years of studying Japanese at school and her technical skills gained through AMV making to waste when there are older series that need someone to sub them.

  1. Alas, we’re in the same boat.
Anyway, I noticed that Getter Robo HK is on your wanted list. I have HK DVDs here which I was supposed to use as source material. Feel free to drop me a line. Cheers!

  2. Thanks so much for picking up the Raideen project, starseeker!
I had nearly lost all hope that they would reappear. I’ve been enjoying these episodes in English at long last, and want to share them in some capacity with my sons (ages 5 & 7). Of course, to do that, I need to sanitize the language a bit.
I realize to some that this may be sacrilege, but I think it is worth it to be able to watch this classic together with my kids.
I have no plans to distribute these modifieded translations.
So my point is this: are you aware of any softsub editions of the first 12 episodes? I’ve only been albe to locate avi’s.
    Thanks!

    • I’m afraid there aren’t. Your best bet would be to OCR the episodes to get the subtitle script and then mux that in with a raw file.

  3. starseeker, i ve been follow your work for sometime now, and is great. But im writting for another reason. Im a subber most of all, but my japanese is totally basic, my english its a lot better; anyway for sometime with an friend were subbing a extremely rare to find series: “arrow emblem grand prix no Taka” (you can find the opening and ending and other stuff in youtube). Sadly, my friend cant continue with the translation of episodes and only rest 9 EPISODES to end the series of 44. And im looking for somebody who translate that last 9 episodes. Im offer in exchange the 44 raw episodes and the first 30 softsubs in spanish. ¿Are you interested?, or ¿do you know somebody?.

    Please letme know.

    Thanks a lot

  4. Thanks for helping us out, starseeker; I’m hoping we’ll work well together.
