Raideen 22 released

I apologise for the delays, real life issues came up, colds, uni work etc. Anyways, here’s episode 22, an episode that seems to be all about messing with the stock footage sequences in quite jarring ways in some cases.

Also, v2 of episode 21 as I discovered watching episode 23, that a single misheard vowel meant I misinterpreted 3 episodes worth of enemy plans. That was kinda embarrassing as a translator, sometimes we have to guess, and sometimes we miss badly.

Raideen 21

In any series where the initial bumbling villain is replaced with a more evil and competant commander by the chief villain, there is always an episode where the new villain gets to show off just how evil he is. This is pretty much that episode. And it was no surprise that the degree of evilness was displayed by use of an easily escapable situation with one inept guard (well, more like a death trap and with inept supervision in general). I wonder how long it will be before the villains just aim straight to kill instead of faffing about with death traps that are easily escaped from around the 17 minute mark, followed by it being blown up.

Raideen 20

Somedays you just can’t get rid of a bomb.
Episode 20, finally done after I spent several days procrastination over the translation check, which was nowhere near as bad as I feared.
New villain Daldan shows his true colours this week. As opposed to Agyaru, who to me is the bumbling Sargent Major who wishes he was still an NCO, Daldan is the lank, evil officer with a moustache (he’s a vampire as well).
And Sharkin is the pretty boy guy in charge who talks big and only got his position through nepotism.

Raideen 19 + Batch torrent

Back when the summer holidays began I thought “I’ll have so much free time I’ll be able to do a release easily”. Then I remembered just how lazy summer makes me.

Anyways, here is episode 19 of Raideen. I also went back over the older episodes, did some fiddling with fonts and minor mistake fixing (I only realised after I’d started uploading that I hadn’t fixed naming inconsistencies between the name for the monster of the week in the next episode preview and the episode proper, and I can’t be arsed to go back and fix it).

Raideen 18

Most of the delay was caused by me being lazy. The remainder was a mix of stress and World of Warcraft.
This episode is actually plot related. It is also awesome. The monster this week reminded me too much of Anub’arak from WoW for comfort.
I should have a batch torrent up in a week or so when I get back from uni.

Progress is being slowly made on Braiger, it’s just that it’s at the bottom of my priority heap and with my recent lack of motivation, I haven’t had much of a chance to finish hammering out a script.
Mazinger volumes 1 and 2 have been translated and are now in the editing phase. Will be released when it’s done over there.

Delays, headaches and a new episode

I apologise for the delays, I had university exams this week so I had little free time, and my nerves were shot to hell whenever I did have any.
Timing took longer than expected, due to me discovering that drinking brightly coloured fizzy drinks of unknown providence from Aldi whilst mildly dehydrated causes throbbing headaches.

Rough summary of this episode: Mari ends up showing her underwear far more than she likes; and the structural integrity of a cruise ship gets abused.
